Pavithra is the eldest child of the
two children born to their parents. Pavithra, whose name means Purity in Telugu,
has an younger brother. Right after giving birth to the two children, Pavithra's
mother had Cerebral Hemorrhage and later died due to the severe cerebral injury
caused by the hemorrhage. The Children became orphans as their father did not
care for them after the sudden demise of their mother. He abandoned the
children and married another woman. Pavithra and her brother were sheltered by
their grand parents for some time. Being elderly and poor, they were unable to
provide food, clothing and shelter to these 2 children. Their condition became
miserable. Some one who attends prayers in the local church brought them to the
care of Maranatha Children Home where they were provided with food, clothing,
shelter, education and more importantly, personal love and care by the
experienced staff.
Pavithra is attending school along
with the other children. She did not take long time to become acquainted
with other children and to get adjusted to her new life in the home. She
is happy and grateful to have good shelter, three meals a day, clothing and
medical help. She enjoys listening Bible stories and singing songs during
Sunday school services. Your sponsorship will allow her to grow up in an
environment that is conducive to her physical, mental and spiritual growth.
The discipline and moral values that are taught in this home are very important
to the children's welfare. We appreciate your partnership with us in this
venture to help the poor and needy children.

It costs $30 a month on each child. It
includes a child's food, clothing, medical, maintenance, and
educational expenses, and the utilities such as the electricity &
phone expenses and the staff salaries such as two cooks, kitchen
helper, doby to wash clothes, Warden. God’s kids like you make

helps a kid. That’s not much! Is it?
