Kjære venner og partnere

Monsun-tiden startet i juni og skyver sommerens hete bort og kjøler ned landet. Takk Gud for
ulikhetene i årstidene som gjør at vi kan glede oss over de velsignelser som følger med årstidene,
blant annet frukter. Jeg savner noen av mine favoritt frukter som dere har i Skandinavia men gleder
meg nå over den beste mangoen i verden, palmyra, jack frukt og andre. Mitt hjerte bobler over av
glede og takknemmelighet til vår Far som skapte årstidene.

Min skaper er så god at Han skapte alt dette før han skapte mennesket. Vår Far er i sannhet kjærlig
og omsorgsfull. Pris Gud som velsigner oss med mange gode ting i livet.

Maranatha pastorfelleskap
Vi hadde to dagers faste og bønn i juni med 150 av våre pastorer, 60 bibelskolestudenter og flere
troende fra lokale menigheter i Vijayawada. Menighetsplantere og pastorer delte sine erfaringer,
utfordringer og historier om Guds mirakuløse kraft. Det var en rørende stund i Guds nærhet for
oss alle. Det hjalp oss alle til selvransakelse og til å rope til Herren. Jeg samler alle 150 pastorene
sammen 2-3 ganger i året hvor vi har fellesskap, tilbedelse, selvransakelse, bønn og veiledning.

I henhold til rapportene fra våre pastorer fra april til juni har 482 mennesker tatt imot Jesus, 96 er
blitt døpt i vann, 186 mottatt Den Hellige Ånd og 291 friluftsmøter er blitt holdt. Våre pastorer har
rapportert følgende helbredelser og mirakler:

Anand Jyothi Babu- Noen mennesker som led av ryggplager og kne problemer ble helbredet i et
spesielt bønnemøte for syke. Gud svarte sitt folks bønner.

Prabhuseva- En demonbesatt mann prøvde å skade seg selv og begå selvmord. Familien
bad om forbønn og pastoren bad og fastet, Gud forløste mannen med sin kraft. Ære til Gud!

Venkateswara Rao- En fiskerfamilie tok imot Jesus som sin frelser og deltar nå i kirken
regelmessig. Familien trengte en båt og garn for å kunne fiske, menigheten bad for deres behov og
Gud sørget for penger til dette.

Hepsiba- Kirkebyggingen har stått stille i 4 år som følge av pengemangel. Takk Gud for
at vi nylig klarte å fullføre dette prosjektet. Pastor Moses Choudary innviet det 15.juli.

Kamalakar- En fredag fikk mange mennesker høre om Jesu lidelse og noen tok imot Jesus. Takk
Gud som rører ved mennesker.

Anand Kumar- En kvinne som led av magesmerter ble rådet til å ta operasjon, men menigheten
bad inntrengende for denne kvinnen og Gud rørte ved henne. En senere undersøkelse bekreftet
helbredelsen og hun går nå i menigheten.

August 2010

Laksmi – Gud helbredet en person som led av nakkesmerter da pastoren og menigheten bad for
ham. Denne mannen er nå frelst og går regelmessig i kirken.

Ramulu- En 60 år gammel kvinne ble frelst og stolte på Herren Jesus. Hun hadde lammelser og
forberedte seg på å bli døpt. Forbønnen fra pastoren og menigheten brakte forandring ettersom
Gud virket. Hun ble nylig døpt. Gjennom dette miraklet og dåpen, priser familiemedlemmer og
slektninger Gud.

En enke led av alvorlige smerter i magen og legene foreslo operasjon. Hun hadde ikke råd til dette
og bad om forbønn og trodde Herren for helbredelse. Pastoren og menigheten bad og Gud grep inn
slik at hun nå er frisk.

Rambabu- En troende hadde sykdom på begge nyrene. Legene utelukket at han ville overleve og
sendte ham derfor hjem. Denne syke mannen leide hos en hinduistisk mann som bad ham flytte ut
siden han ikke ville at han skulle dø i huset hans. Pastoren holdt ham i menigheten og ropte til Gud
om barmhjertighet. Gud i sin store nåde responderte og helbredet denne døende mannen. Vår Gud
er fortsatt i helbredelsesbransjen. Han går aldri tilbake på noe eller pensjonerer seg fra helbredelse.
Halleluja!

Krishnamurthy- En enke med to barn bodde i et lite skur. Hun bad landsbylederne om et lite stykke
land til å bygge et hus på, men ble ikke hørt. Hun bad om bønnestøtte i menigheten. Herren grep inn
i hennes situasjon og myndigheten gav henne et stykke land slik at hun fikk bygd et nydelig hus.
Gud svarte denne enkens bønner. Priset være Herren!

Abraham- Gud sørget for at pastor Abraham fikk et banklån på 95 000 rupees (US$ 2000) til å
kjøpe en bil til tjenesten sin.

Bhaskar- Den Hellig Ånd kom over hele forsamlingen. Alle de hellige fikk oppleve Den Hellige
Ånds dåp.

Bhagavandas- En demonbesatt ung mann led et helt år. Men Gud hørte bønn og utfridde Ham.

Kotibabu- Et par som hadde ekteskapsproblemer levde fra hverandre i to år. Pastoren hadde samtale
med dem og ba sammen med dem. De er nå sammen igjen og lever som en lykkelig familie.

Anil Kumar- Et 10 år gammelt barn spiste ikke mat på ti dager og ble svak. Hennes foreldre som
var hinduer bad pastor Anil om å be for barnet. Gud hørte hans bønner og barnet ble friskt igjen.
Familien tok imot Jesus og respekterer nå pastoren og hans tjeneste.

Krishna- En hindukvinne konverterte og mottok Kristus nylig. Hun gled på noen trapper og falt ned.
Ryggmargen ble skadet og hun lå flere dager på sykehus. Pastoren og de troende bad for henne og
Gud helbredet henne mirakuløst.

Srinu Bhasha- Gud helbredet et medlem som falt i koma og som det var lite håp for. Men pastoren
bad for henne og Gud svarte.

Yosepu-100 troende sluttet å gå på gudstjenester i minst fem år fordi det var krigføring mellom to
grupper i landsbyen. Resten av menigheten var i Guds nærhet og bad og gradvis kom de tilbake
til menigheten. Nå deltar de fleste av dem på søndagsgudstjenestene. Grundig bønn i Guds nærhet
hjelper.

Babu Rao- En 36 år gammel person gikk inn i depresjon og frykt. Pastoren og de troende fastet og
bad i 7 uker og Gud i sin barmhjertighet rørte ved personen og gjorde ham hel. Denne mirakuløse
helbredelsen brakte hele familien til Jesus. En eldstebror i menigheten hadde en lungesykdom og
ble helbredet når pastoren bad for ham.

Daniel Raju, Tenali- Pastor Daniel fastet og bad for en kvinne som tilbad avguder. Familien hennes
opplevde fred i hjertene sine og går nå i menigheten.

Sekhar- En ung mann fra menigheten drog til England for å ta høyere studier. Etter endt utdannelse
bad han pastoren om forbønn. Gud åpnet en dør og han fikk jobb i London. Priset være Herren!

Pastorbarntjenesten

Vi hjelper 110 pastorbarn med skolepenger. Det siste året har vi brukt 120 000 kroner i
skolepenger. Det koster 100kr i måneden å sponse et pastorbarn. Pastorfamiliene har vanskelig for å
underholde barna sine fordi de har lite penger. Denne tjenesten betyr derfor alt for dem. Det er få av
menighetene i landsbyene som er i stand til å underholde sine egne pastorer. Jeg skriver dette ut fra
41 års erfaring i tjenesten. Men vi kan ikke la være å nå ut til landsbyene selv om utfordringene er
store.

Bibelskolene
Vi har 3 bibelskoler i Vijayawada, Hyderabad og Visakha som hvert år trener 150-200 unge menn
og kvinner for tjeneste.

Bibelskolen i Hyderabad har nå 42 studenter, 23 studenter ble uteksaminert i juni.
Bibelskolen i Vijayawada har 69 studenter, 24 studenter ble utekaminert i juni.

Steven David, med mastergrad i elektronikk er en av studentene. Han var en ivrig ung mann som
har startet i kirkeplantingstjenesten.

Praveen kom til bibelskolen uten basiskunnskaper i Bibelen. Gud forandret livet hans og utrustet
ham til å bli ungdomspastor i hjembyen sin.

Tulasi Naik, en ung troende mann fra Bikya stammen ble uteksaminert og har overgitt seg til å nå
stammen sin med evangeliet.

Sandeep hadde veldig liten utdannelse og jobbet hardt på bibelskolen for å fullføre. Han har nå
startet et «Kristus vekkelses ungdomsteam» i byen Nellore.

Jeevan Jyothi- med mastergrad fullførte kurset og planlegger å tjene Herren sammen med mannen
sin. Dette er noen få av de som er blitt uteksaminert dette året.

Vi hadde evangeliserings leirer i 15 landsbyer nå i sommer. Mange mennesker tok imot Jesus som
sin personlige Frelser. Vi trente 22 mennesker ved sommer bibelskolen.

Bibelskolen i Visakha har nå 62 studenter. 38 studenter ble uteksaminerte i juni, av disse fikk
27 vitnemål for fullføring av 2 år og 11 studenter fikk vitnemål for fullføring av 3 år. Vi trente
22 personer på sommer-bibelskolen som varte i 40 dager. Vi er i «fabrikkindustrien» med de
unge. De unge er «råmaterialet» som vi former gjennom bibelskolen for å bli brukbare for Gud.

En ung student, Krishna, som gjorde vaktmestertjeneste, mistet en syreflaske og fikk syre i venstre
øye. Øyenlegen sa at de måtte forta en operasjon med en gang, men dette var altfor dyrt for
studenten. Hele bibelskolen bad til Gud og Han svarte. Legen oppdaget fire dager senere at en ny
hinne hadde lagt seg på øyeeplet. Du vet, Gud gjør fortsatt mirakler.

En annen ung mann, Vijay, som er fra en høykaste familie, var avhengig av tobakk og alkohol.
Foreldrene henvendte seg til oss for at vi skulle ta ham inn på bibelskolen. De hadde tidligere
sendt ham til andre skoler uten resultater. Han kom på sommer-bibelskolen og den ble som
en «flyktningeleir» for ham. Vi så en dramatisk forandring hos ham. Takk Gud for Den Hellige
Ånds verk som forandrer og gir kraft til å seire over avhengighet.

Bibelskolen leier nå lokalene men vi tror og ber om gode fasiliteter og et godt bibliotek for
bibelskolen i Visakha.

Barnehjemstjenesten
Jeg tar aldri denne tjenesten for gitt men regner det som et privilegium. Det er hjerteskjærende å
høre historiene til foreldreløse og fattige barn. Vi blir stadig utfordret av behovene deres. Jeg føler
meg ydmyk overfor det privilegium at Gud har gjort oss delaktig i å forme livene deres. Jeg setter i
sannhet pris på din støtte i dette oppdraget for Gud og Hans rike.

Bathina Jayaprakash ble uteksaminert fra videregående skole og tok en opptaksprøve for å
komme inn på teknisk institutt. Han lå godt an og kom inn på et institutt i kommunen vår.
Amani Velidi fikk gode karakterer på skolen og kom inn på en handelsskole for å studere
videre. Rajitha fikk veldig gode karakterer og kom inn på universitetet for å ta en master i
forretningsadministrasjon, med sykehusadministrasjon som spesialitet.

Swarna har begynt på en bachelorgrad innen ingeniørstudiet.

Sairam har fullført en utdannelse i økonomiledelse.

Swarna - Kona til en pastor døde. De hadde en datter på 2 år som pastoren så oppdrog alene i to år.
Men han innså behovet for å få henne på barnehjem. Han hadde hørt om vårt barnehjem og kom til
oss slik at vi kunne ta hånd om datteren hans. Vi blir stadig utfordret i å hjelpe familier med Guds
kjærlighet.

Harish og Harika, bror og søster, Harish er syv år og Harika er fire år. Faren deres forlot dem uten
å gi beskjed og moren deres begikk selvmord. Begravelsen ble holdt av slektninger og naboer. Det
var ingen som kunne ta seg av disse barna så en nabo brakte disse barna til barnehjemmet. De går
nå på skole og har et godt liv sammen med 100 andre barn.

My Dear Friends and Partners,

The monsoon in India has stepped in June pushing the summer heat back and cooling the country. The weather has been cool. Thank God for seasons that change from time to time that we may enjoy the difference along with added blessings such as different fruits in India. I miss my favorite peaches from Georgia and SC but enjoy the last bit of best Mangoes in the world, Palmyra, Jack Fruit and others. My heart is bubbling with joy and gratefulness to The Father who created seasons.

The CREATER is so good that HE created everything before HE created man. Our FATHER is truly loving and caring. Praise God for blessing us with many good things in life.

Maranatha Pastors’ Fellowship –

We had two-day fasting prayer in June with 150 of our pastors, 60 Bible School students, and several believers from local church at Vijayawada. The church planters and pastors had shared their experiences, hardships, stories of God’s miraculous work. It was a touching time in God’s Presence for all of us. It helped everybody to self-search and cry out to The Lord. I gather all 150 pastors in our fellowship together 2-3 times a year for fellowship, worship, self-search & prayer, and instruction.

According to the reports received from our pastors from April thru June 482 people have accepted Jesus into their lives, 96 converts Baptized in water, and 186 received Holy Spirit Baptism, and 291 Open Air meetings conducted. Our pastors have reported the following healings and miracles.

Anand Jyothi Babu – Few people suffering with backache and knee problem are healed in a special prayer meeting conducted for sick. God answered the prayers of His people. Prabhuseva – A daemon-possessed man tried to harm himself and was trying to commit suicide. Family members asked for prayer help and the pastor prayed for him with fasting and God delivered him by His Power. Glory to God!! Venkateswara Rao - A fisherman family accepted Jesus as their personal savior and is attending church regularly. The family is in need of a boat and net for fishing and the church interceded for their need and God provided money to purchase them. PTL!! Hepsiba – The church building has stopped for four years due to lack of finances. Thank God for helping us complete it recently. Pastor. Moses Choudary has dedicated it on July 15th. Kamalakar-On Good Friday, many people heard crucifixion message and some have accepted Jesus as their Savior. Praise God for touching lives!! Anand Kumar- A lady suffering with stomachache was advised to undergo surgery, but the congregation pleaded for this woman and God has touched her. A further investigation confirmed the healing and she is now added to the Church. Lakshmi- God healed a person suffering with neck pain as the pastor and church prayed. That man is now saved and attending church regularly.

Ramulu - A 60 year old woman got converted and trusted the Lord Jesus. As she was preparing to take baptism, she suffered from Paralysis. The supplications of the Pastor and congregation brought change as God has intervened. She took baptism recently. Through this miracle and baptism, her family members and relatives praised God.

A Widow suffered from serious pain in her womb and doctors suggested for operation. Because of her poor financial status, she could not afford it and asked prayer request and believed God for healing. The pastor and church interceded and God has intervened that she is well now.

Rambabu- A believer was seriously suffering with failure of both kidneys. Doctors ruled out his survival and sent him home. The Hindu owner of his rental house asked his family to vacate as he didn’t want his tenant die there. But the pastor kept him in the church and cried out for God’s mercy. And God has graciously responded and healed this dying man. Our God is still in the business of healing. He never receded nor retired from healing. Hallelujah!! Krishnamurthy – A widow with two children lived in a poor shelter. She requested village officers for a small piece of land to build a house, but was not granted. She took prayer support from the church for her need. The Lord has intervened into her situation and a piece of land was gifted by the government. She built a beautiful house. God has answered this widow’s prayers. PTL!!

Abraham- God supplied Pastor Abraham Rupees 95,000 (US$.2,000) to make down payment to purchase a van on bank loan for his ministry. Bhaskar- God’s promise of the Holy Spirit came upon the entire congregation. All the saints have experienced the Holy Spirit Baptism. Glory!! Bhagavandas - A daemon-possessed young man suffered for one year. But God who answered the prayers delivered him. Kotibabu - A couple who had marital problems lived separately for two years. The pastor has counseled with them and prayed in God’s presence. They are now back together and living as a happy family. Anil Kumar – A 10 year old child did not eat food for 10 days and became weak. Her Hindu Parents are requested Pastor Anil to pray for the kid. God answered his prayer and the child got well. The family accepted Jesus and respects the pastor and his ministry. Krishna – A new Hindu convert accepted Christ recently. She slipped from steps and fell down. Her spinal card was broken and was hospitalized for several days. Pastor and believers prayed for her and God healed her miraculously. Srinu Bhasha – God healed a church member who went into coma for some days. There was little hope for her. But the pastor interceded for her and God has answered. She is well now. Yosepu – Due to group clashes between two warring groups in the village, nearly 100 believers stopped attending church services for last five years. The rest of the congregation pleaded in God’s presence and they gradually started coming to church meetings. Now most of them are attending Sunday worship services. Diligent prayer in God’s Presence works.

Babu Rao - A 36 year old person went into depression and feared for his own reasons. The Pastor and believers fasted and prayed for 7 weeks and God in His mercy touched and made him whole. This miraculous healing brought the entire family to Jesus. Another church elder suffering with illness in lungs was healed when the pastor prayed for him.

Daniel Raju, Tenali – Pastor. Daniel witnessed to an idol-worshipping woman and prayed for her with fasting. Her family felt peace in their hearts. The family is now attending the church.

Sekhar - A young man from this congregation went to UK for higher studies. After completion of the studies he requested the pastor pray for his job. God has opened a door and he got a job in London.

PK’s Ministry

We have PK’s ministry to help 110 Pastors’ kids in their schooling expenses. We spent $20,000 for them last school year. It costs $15 a month to sponsor a PK (Pastor’s Kid). Once a child is born into a village pastor’s family he/she is enrolled into the school of suffering as there is not enough money in the family. Village Pastors suffer a lot but dedicated to reach the lost. Ministry is everything for them. Few congregations become self-supporting churches in villages. Socio-economic conditions contribute much to this situation. I write this with 41 years ministry experience. But we cannot quit reaching into the villages as the challenge is great.

Maranatha Veda Patasala (Bible School) ministry – We have 3 Bible Schools training 150-200 young men and women for the ministry at Vijayawada, Hyderabad, and Visakha cities.

Bible School, Hyderabad – 23 students graduated in June. Total 42 students now.

Bible School, Vijayawada City-24 students graduated in June. Total 69 students now.

Steven David with Master’s Degree in Electronics was one of them. He was a zealous young man. He is going to do church planting ministry. Praveen came to Bible school without basic knowledge of the Bible. God has transformed his life and equipped him to become Youth Pastor in his home town. Tulasi Naik, a tribal convert and college graduate, is committed to reach Bikya tribal people. Sandeep who had very little education worked hard on his courses to graduate. He now started a "Christ Revival Youth Team" in Nellore city. Jeevan Jyothi, with Master’s Degree, also completed the course and plans to serve the Lord along with her husband. These are few graduates of this year.

We had summer gospel camps in 15 villages. Several people have turned to Jesus and received Him as their personal savior. We trained 22 people in summer Bible School with intensive program for 45 days.

Bible School, Visakha City – 38 students graduated in June. Total 62 students now.

[Soft Break]We had the first graduation service at Visakha in June for 38 students. Twenty Seven of them finished 2-year diploma and 11 with 3-year B. Th. Courses. We trained 23 young people in our summer Bible School for 40 days. We are in the manufacturing business of the youth. We take the young people as raw material and process them thru our Bible School to be useful for God. This Bible School is in a rental building now. We are trusting and praying for our own building facilities and good library for the Bible School ministry at Visakha.

A young student, Krishna, while doing janitorial duty, dropped the acid bottle. It spilled into his left eye. An ophthalmologist said that a surgery had to be done right away to put a white layer to cover the eyeball.  It was too expensive for him. All faculty and students prayed and God answered it. The doctor found four days later that a new layer started forming on the eyeball. You know, God is still in miracle-doing business.

Another young man, Vijay, who is from a high caste wealthy family, was addicted to tobacco and alcohol. His parents approached us to take him in. They sent him to other schools but their efforts failed. We took him into our summer school, which was like a refugee camp for him. We saw a dramatic change in him. Thank God for the work of the Holy Spirit who convicts and gives the power to have victory over the addictions.

 [Soft Break]Children Homes Ministry – I never take this ministry for granted but count it a privilege. It is heart-rending to hear the stories behind the orphan and poor children. We are constantly challenged by their needs. I feel humbled of this privilege that God has made us little part in shaping their lives. I truly appreciate your partnership in this venture for God and His Kingdom.

Bathina Jayaprakash graduated from high school and took an entrance exam in May to enter a technical institute. He got good rank and got admission into a premier institute in our state. Amani Velidi scored high in school and joined in a College of Commerce to become a CPA. Rajitha scored 19th rank in a University entrance exam and got admission into Master of Business Administration (MBA Program) with specialization in Hospital Administration. Swarna, after finishing Diploma in Engineering and started her Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Sairam, MBA graduate got high scores in Managerial Economics and was awarded a Gold Medal.

Swarna - A pastor’s wife died due to anemia and mental illness leaving this 2-year-old girl. He raised the girl for two years but realized the need to put her in a home. He had heard about our Children Home in our gospel meetings and approached us. We took her in and put her in school. It touches to see the little kids cry for their families. We are challenged constantly to provide family with God’s Love.

Harish and Harika, Brother and sister. Harish is seven years and Harika is four. Their mother committed suicide. She used pesticide mixed with sugar to kill herself. Harika saw her mother committing suicide. Their father left them and the dead body of their mother without intimation. The funeral was done by the relatives and neighbors. There was nobody to care for these orphan children. A neighbor brought the kids to our Home. They are now going to school and happy living with 100 other kids like them.

Kjære venner og partnere 15 mars 2010
Jeg skriver dette nyhetsbrevet i takknemlighet for deres bønner og partnerskap. Takket være Gud og Hans tjenere som deg har jeg så langt hatt et rikt liv. Jeg er hva jeg er i dag på grunn av relasjoner med Guds folk som deg. Relasjoner er svært berikende og utviklende på mange måter. Takk for at jeg får ha en relasjon med deg.

Jeg har virkelig gledet meg over livet siden Jesus kom inn i livet mitt i 1966. Jeg har etter beste evne prøvd å la Herren få virke igjennom meg. Livet på jorden vil før eller senere ta slutt en dag, men jeg stoler på at de såkorn vi har sådd vil fortsette å bringe frukt i Hans kongedømme.

Sommeren er her nå med 35-42 grader og vi nyter deilige sommerfrukter. Priset være Herren for sesongenes velsignelser.
Tjenesten denne sesongen
Nyhetsbrevet denne gangen er noe forsinket på grunn av mine reiser. Oppholdet i Singapore i februar gikk veldig bra og var styrkende for Telugu felleskapet som ledes av pastor Nelson David, en av våre tidligere bibelskole lærere. Flere unge mennesker har respondert på evangeliet og akseptert Jesus inn i sine liv. Jeg avholdt også seminarer i en filipinsk kirke, en afrikansk kirke og en annen kirke med ulike folke folkegrupper fra Nigeria, Europa og Asia.

Jeg har vært opptatt med å reise rundt og preke i landsbyer i ulike distrikt i India. Overalt hvor jeg kommer, responderer hundrevis av mennesker på evangeliet. Folk er sultne på den sanne og levende Gud. De troende i kirkene blir oppmuntret og styrket i nåden.
Barnehjemmene
Jayasri en 6 år gammel hindu jente – Hennes far ble rammet av polio og nyreproblemer og var ute av stand til å forsørge familien. Hennes mor klarte ikke å brødfø barna i familien og brakte Jayasri til Maranatha barnehjem hvor hun nå trives svært godt.
Seshank en 5 år gammel hindu gutt – Faren døde av elektrisk støtt i forbindelse med arbeidet. Moren klarte ikke å brødfø gutten og brakte ham til oss. Seshank er nå en glad gutt.

Srikanth en 6 år gammel hindu gutt – Moren fikk tyfoidfeber og hadde ikke råd til å gå til legen og døde. Guttens far forlot sønnen. Bestemoren var ikke i stand til å ta seg av ham, men hun så pastor Moses Choudary på TV og brakte gutten til oss. Srikanth er nå en glad gutt som går til skolen med de andre barna.
Bhanusri en 5 år gammel hindu jente – Foreldrene var bønder. Faren fikk hjertestans og døde. Dette skapte økonomiske utfordringer for familien. Bestemoren kjente til vårt barnehjem og brakte jenta til oss. Bhanusri er nå en glad jente.

Kalyan Kolavennu holder på å avslutte sin utdannelse som bygningsingeniør ved et universitet. Et internasjonalt byggefirma har nylig tilbudt ham arbeid. Han vil starte hos dette firmaet etter fullført utdannelse neste måned og vil tjene 15.000 Rs. i måneden.

Ravi Kiran Vemulapalli har fullført sin utdannelse i hotelledelse i byen Visakha. Han har hatt praksis ved et fem stjerners hotell i Trivendrum og vil snart begynne å arbeide. Han og hans søster Ragini vokste opp på vårt barnehjem. Ragini underviser ved en skole og har planer om å begynne på sivilingeniørutdannelsen.
Bakgrunnen til disse guttene og jentene er rørende. Jeg kan ikke beskrive hvor glad jeg blir over å se våre gutter og jenter fra Maranatha barnehjem lykkes i liv og karriere. De elsker Herren og tjener ham med overgivelse. Mine ord kommer til kort i å beskrive hvor mye jeg verdsetter dere alle for deres trofaste støtte til disse guttene og jentene.
Pastor rapporter om helbredelse.
Pastor Lakshmi, Hindupur – Ektemannen til en av de troende var kriminell. Pastoren og menigheten bad oppriktig for hans frelse. Gud responderte og gjenopprettet ham med sin kraft på en fantastisk måte! Han tjener nå Herren Jesus. Gud løste også en eiendomstvist til en annen troende etter at menigheten hadde bedt.

G. Daniel Raju, Tenali – En kvinne og hennes to barn bestemte seg for å ta selvmord på grunn av gjeldsproblemer. Pastor Raju besøkte familien og inviterte henne til kirken. Pastoren og hele menigheten ropte til Gud for denne kvinnen og Gud i sin nåde responderte. Gjelden er nå nedbetalt og kvinnen og barna er nå lykkelige og tjener Herren.

P. David, Mummadivaram – Menigheten bad for en demonbesatt kvinne om at hun skulle bli satt fri. Gud responderte med kraft slik at hun nå har det bra. Ære til Gud.

M. Yesudas, Huzurabad – Et ektepar som hadde vært ufruktbare i 10 år ble velsignet med en gutt etter oppriktige bønner fra menigheten. Halleluja!!

M. Bhaskar, Vikarabad – En kvinne som hadde vært syk i fem måneder ble helbredet etter at menigheten bad. Et ektepar som hadde vært ufruktbar i 12 år ble velsignet med et barn.

M. Joshua, Dachepalli – Pastoren og menigheten bad for et par som hadde bestemt seg for å skilles. Gud talte til dem slik at de ble gjenforent.

N. Jeevanpaul, Machilipatnam – Etter forbønn fra pastor og menigheten helbredet Gud en troende som hadde hatt lammelser.

Prabhuseva, Guntur – En mann som hadde hjerteproblem mottok helbredelse idet pastor og menigheten bad for ham.

L. Vijaya Kumar, Kuravi – En kvinne ble utsatt for trolldom og led av store bryst smerter. Hun tok mye medisiner uten virkning. Hun ble brakt til kirken i Kuravi og pastoren bad for henne og Gud satte henne fri fra onde krefter. Halleluja!!

I. Kamalakar, Tekulapalli – Et ektepar som hadde vært ufruktbar i 10 år fikk en gutt etter forbønn fra pastoren og menigheten.

M. Prabhu Kumar, G. Konduru – En ung kvinne med blødersykdom ble helbredet av Gud etter forbønn av menigheten og pastoren.

T. Babu Rao, Pulla – En 32 år gammel mann ble lam i beina og kunne ikke gå. Legene behandlet ham uten at han viste tegn til forbedring. Menigheten bad og fastet for ham og Gud helbredet ham mirakuløst. Hele familien hans aksepterte Jesus og går nå regelmessig i kirken.

Menighetsvekst og bygninger
Ifølge mottatte rapporter fra våre pastorer fra oktober til og med januar så har det blitt avholdt 487 friluftsmøter, 707 har tatt i mot Jesus i sine liv, 266 ble døpt i vann og 365 mottok DHÅ dåp.

Vi har hjulpet til med å bygge 5 kirke bygninger de siste månedene. Våre pastorer når ut til landsbyene med evangeliet om Jesus og vinner de fortapte og berører liv for evigheten. Vi gleder oss i Herren over alt som Han gjør gjennom tjeneste vår.

Det er mitt oppriktige ønske at vi ikke går trøtt av å tjene Herren Jesus, preke evangeliet og støtte misjon. Den åndelige krigen intensiveres og dårlig moral omslutter oss på alle kanter. La oss aldri kompromisse når det gjelder skriftens prinsipper og bibel baserte verdier men vandre oppreiste i Guds åsyn. Gud har hjulpet meg til å stå igjennom kampene og utfordringene.

Eiendommer & bygninger i Hyderabad
Bygninger og eiendom til barnehjemmet og bibelskolen i Hyderabad har ikke hatt den offisielle godkjennelsen fra byens myndigheter. Myndighetene krevde 500.000kr for denne godkjennelsen men vi anket til statsguvernøren og anmodet om en reduksjon. Han gav oss 50% avslag på avgiften bare to uker før han døde i en helikopterulykke i september 2009. Vi takker Gud for denne fantastiske mannen. Vi har nå betalt avgiften og har mottatt den offisielle godkjennelsen på eiendom og bygninger hvor vi huser 150 barn, studenter og ansatte.

Vi leier en sal hvor vi avholder søndagsmøter og vi bruker barnehjemmets spisesal for mindre møter. Med myndighetenes godkjennelse kan vi nå bygge et auditorium hvor vi kan ha barnemøter, bibelskolen og menighetens møter. Jeg er virkelig begeistret over dette. Takk Herren for hans forsørgelse. Jeg blir ydmyk og verdsetter Guds folk som har hjulpet oss med dette prosjektet. Dere er fantastisk.

My Dear Friends and Partners,

This News Letter comes to you from my grateful heart for your prayers and partnership. My life has been rich because of God and His servants like you. I am what I am today by my relationship with God’s people like you. Relationships are powerful enriching and expanding us in many ways. Thank you for allowing me into your relationship.

I've immensely enjoyed my life ever since Jesus came into it in 1966. I tried my best to let the fragrance of my Lord flow thru me to others. Life on earth has terminus some day sooner or later. However, I do trust that the seed sown by us will continue to bring forth fruit into His Kingdom.

The summer is here with 35-42 C. I am already enjoying summer fruits, which are very delicious. Thank the Father God for seasons and the blessings they bring into our lives. My ministry in this season --- My newsletter this time is delayed due to my travels.

My ministry in Singapore in February went very well strengthening the Telugu Fellowship being pastored by Nelson David, one of our former Bible School teachers. Several young people have responded to the Gospel by accepting Jesus into their lives. I spoke also in a Seminary, a Philippine Church, an African Chucrh, and a Mixed Church with Nigerians, Europeans, and Asians.

I have been busy traveling and preaching in villages in different districts in India. Every place I go, the people are responding to the gospel by hundreds. People are hungry for the True and Living God that they listen to God’s Word until midnight. The believers in churches are being encouraged and strengthened in Grace.

Children Home Ministry ---
Jayasri, 6 year-old Hindu girl - Polio-stricken father developed Kidney problem and unable to provide for the family. Her mother could not feed the kids in the family and brought Jayasri to Maranatha Children Home. The girl is happy now.

Seshank, a 5-year-old Hindu boy – Father died of electric shock while at work. His mother with meager income could not feed him and brought him to us. Seshank is a happy boy now in our Children Home.
Srikanth, 6-year-old Hindu boy – His mother had Typhoid and could not afford to go to the doctor due to lack of finances and died later. His father deserted the boy and grandmother could not feed him. However, she saw Pastor. Moses Choudary on TV and brought the boy to us. Srikanth is a happy fellow going to school with other kids. Bhanusri, a 5-year-old Hindu girl, Parents–Farm laborers. Her father had heart attack and died before his wife reached him. The loss of an earning hand created problem in the family. Her grandmother knowing of our Children Home brought the girl to us. Bhanusri is a happy little girl now.

Kalyan Kolavennu – Kalyan is finishing his degree in Civil Engineering. in a prestigious state University. A multinational construction company has recently selected him in campus interview to work for them. He will join that company after completion of his degree next month with basic monthly salary of Rs.15,000.

Ravi Kiran Vemulapalli – Ravi has finished Master’s degree in Hotel management at Visakha city. He has done his internship in a five star hotel at Trivendrum, S. India. He will soon get a job in a corporate hotel. He and his sister, Ragini, grew up in our Children Home. Ragini is now teaching in an Engineering College and plans to do Master’s degree.

The stories behind these boys and girls are heart touching. I cannot tell you how happy I am to see our boys and girls in Maranatha Children Homes making success in life and career. They love the Lord and serve Him with dedication. My words fall short of how much I appreciate you all for your faithful support of these unfortunate boys and girls.

Pastors’ Reports on Healings ---

Pastor Lakshmi, Hindupur – A believer’s husband was living as a dacoit and the pastor and church prayed earnestly for his salvation. How God has responded and redeemed him by His Power is an amazing story !! He is now serving the Lord Jesus. God solved the property dispute of another believer by the prayers of the church.

G. Daniel Raju, Tenali – A woman with her two children decided to commit suicide due to the problem of debts. Pastor Raju visited the family and invited her to the Church. He and the whole congregation cried out to God for her and God in His mercy replied. The debts are paid off. She and the children are happy now and serving the Lord. PTL!!

P. David, Mummadivaram – A demon-possessed woman was becoming weak physically. The congregation prayed for her deliverance and God in His mercy has responded in power that she is well now. Glory to God.

M. Yesudas, Huzurabad – A barren couple were blessed with a baby boy after ten years by the earnest prayers of the Church. Hallelujah!!

M. Bhaskar, Vikarabad – A woman suffering from the issue of blood for five months was healed by God as the church has interceded. God blessed a barren couple for 12 years with a child.

M. Joshua, Dachepalli – The pastor and the church prayed for a couple that decided to go for divorce. God has spoken to them that they were reunited and happy now.

N. Jeevanpaul, Machilipatnam – God healed a believer from the effect of paralysis by the supplication of the congregation and the pastor.

Prabhuseva, Guntur – A man suffering with cardiac problem received healing as the Pastor and the Church prayed for him.

L. Vijaya Kumar, Kuravi – A tribal woman was witch-crafted and suffered with severe chest pain. She was given many a medicine, but no reprieve was found. She was brought to the Church at Kuravi and the pastor interceded for this woman. God delivered her from evil powers. Hallelujah!!
I. Kamalakar, Tekulapalli – A couple, which was barren for 10 years, received a baby boy by the supplications of the Church and the pastor.

M. Prabhu Kumar, G. Konduru – A young woman was suffering with the issue of blood and God healed her by the prayers of the Church and pastor.

T. Babu Rao, Pulla – A 32-year-old man was paralyzed in the legs and could not walk. Doctors treated him but he did not show any improvement. The Church prayed for him with fasting and God healed him miraculously. The whole family accepted Jesus and is attending the Church regularly.

Church Growth and Buildings --- According to the reports received from our pastors from October thru January, 487 open air meetings were conducted, 707 have accepted Jesus into their lives, 266 newly baptized in water, 365 received the Holy Spirit Baptism.

We have helped build 5 church buildings last few months. Our pastors are marching forth into the villages with the gospel of Jesus Christ winning the lost and impacting lives for Eternity. We rejoice in the Lord over all He is doing in our ministries.

It is my sincere desire that we never get bored in life to serve the Lord Jesus, to preach the gospel, and to support Missions. Spiritual warfare is mounting up. Degraded morals are around us on every front. Let us never compromise in regards to the scriptural principles and Bible-based values but walk upright in God's sight. God has been good to help me overcome the battles and meet the challenges in leadership.

Land & Building at Hyderabad --- The land and building for the Children Home and Bible School at Hyderabad never had the official approval of the city government. The government has introduced a scheme under which we should pay $83,000 to get it approved. However, we have appealed to the Chief Minister (Governor) of our state to grant us a discount on it. He had granted us 50% discount on it two weeks before he was killed in a Helicopter crash in September 2009. Thank God for that great man. We have paid off $41,500 and received the official approval for the land and building where we house about 150 kids, students, and staff.

We are renting a hall for one Sunday service and conduct the second service in the dining hall of Children Home at Hyderabad. With the Government’s approval of our land and building we may now build an auditorium for the meetings of children, Bible School students, and the church services. It'll serve the multi purpose of these ministries in future. I am excited about it. Thank The Lord for His Providence. I feel humbled and appreciate God’s people who helped us on this project. You are great.

India - Nyhetsbrev

Kjære venner og partnere. 23 november, 2009

Hilsener fra India! Været er behagelig med fine dager og kjølige kvelder. Vi nærmer oss en stor høytid, vår Frelsers fødsel. Grunnen til denne høytiden - Jesus Kristus - har endret våre liv og denne verden. Hvilket privilegium å få presentere Ham!

Barnehjemmene
Pradeep og Sandeep er fem år gamle tvillinger. Faren deres var snekker, han døde av lever og nyre problem. Moren deres klarte ikke å livnære guttene med sin begrensede inntekt. Hun viste ikke hva hun skulle gjøre, men hun fikk høre om barnehjemmet vårt. Vi tok imot tvillingene ved barnehjemmet i Vijayawada. Deres første måltid ved barnehjemmet var litt av et syn. De slukte i seg maten siden de ikke hadde spist på flere dager. Vi ble alle rørt når vi så dem. Barna hadde aldri hatt fottøy på beina sine og hadde derfor sprekker under føttene. De går nå ved skolen med de andre barna og er lykkelige.

Ramu, en 5 år gammel gutt mistet faren sin. Legene kunne ikke finne noe fysisk galt med faren, men faren ble bare svakere og svakere for hver uke før han til slutt døde. Guttens mor fikk høre om barnehjemmet i Vijayawada og kom med gutten. Han går nå ved skolen mens hans mor har fått arbeid ved vårt gamlehjem.

Da Geetika, en 5 år gammel jente, mistet moren sin i gulsott fikk faren hennes psykiske problemer. Hennes gamle bestemor brakte henne til barnehjemmet da hun selv ikke kunne hjelpe henne på grunn av sin lave inntekt og høye alder. Hun fikk høre om barnehjemmet fra en av våre pastorer. Jenta er nå lykkelig med husly, klær, 3 måltider hver dag og skole, alt gratis. Vår Gud er imponerende og til å stole på.

En av våre tidligere barnehjemsgutter som nå er i USA, sendte meg en e-post og fortalte om hvordan han kom til barnehjemmet uten ordentlige klær. Historiene til disse guttene og jentene er rørende. Jeg klarer ikke å beskrive hvor glad jeg blir av å se hvordan barna fra Maranatha barnehjem gjøre suksess i liv og karriere. De elsker Herren og tjener Ham med overgivelse. Mine ord kommer til kort i å beskrive hvor mye jeg setter pris på alle som trofast støtter arbeidet med å hjelpe disse guttene og jentene.

Økonomisk situasjon
Vi marsjerer frem for å gjøre store ting for Gud og Hans kongedømme til tross for økonomiske hindringer i tjenesten. Gud hjelper oss til å gi mat og skole til 350 barn ved 4 barnehjem, hjelpe 30 eldre og forlatte, gi skolegang for 110 pastorbarn, støtte 140 pastorer, støtte og opplæring av 180 studenter ved 3 bibelskoler. Vi har nylig startet et gamlehjem i Hyderabad. Det er kun tre personer nå, men vi håper å kunne å øke dette i fremtiden etter hvert som Gud forsørger. Gud har vært god mot oss, for å si det mildt. Vi ser frukter overalt. Å hjelpe de lidende har vært mitt liv i 41 år og jeg føler det som et stort privilegium. Utfordringene står i kø men det gjør også mulighetene. Den Hellige Ånd oppmuntrer og veileder oss i å fortsette oppdraget. Du har vært en oppmuntring og velsignelse for meg i alt dette.

Pastor rapporter
Vi mistet nylig en ledende seniorpastor og styremedlem til det Evige Hjemmet. Han fikk svineinfluensa og døde 11. oktober.

Ifølge rapporter fra våre pastorer fra juni til oktober tok 489 personer imot Jesus og 131 ble døpt, 218 mottok dåpen i DHÅ og 209 friluftsmøter ble avholdt.

Følgende helbredelsesrapporter ble innmeldt:

B. Charan, Narsapur, Medak Dt. – En familie besøkte mange Hindu templer og pleide å ofre til demonene. Familien ble utslitt av de mange ritualene og kom til slutt til kirken hvor Gud satte dem fri fra demoner. Ære til Gud!

G. Prabhuseva, Guntur – En kvinne var lam og kunne ikke gå. Hele menigheten bad for henne og Gud rørte henne og helbredet henne.

D. Prema Manohar Babu – En mann som hadde nyre steiner ble brakt til legen som ville ta en operasjon. Da pastoren bad for mannen ble han helbredet av Gud. Halleluja!!

Y.Yesudas. Bobbili – Et ektepar hadde vært gift i 10 år men hadde ingen barn. De hadde gått til mange leger uten resultat. De prøvde mange guder til ingen nytte. Ekteparet deltok så på et møte hvor pastor Moses Choudary betjente og bad for dem. Gud berørte dem og hun ble gravid måneden etterpå.

M.Yesudas. Huzurabad – En ung mann kastet opp blod og hadde ikke råd til å gå til legene. Han kom desperat til kirken og den nådefulle Herren helbredet ham. Han er nå ved god form. Jesus er fremdeles i helbredelsesbransjen!

Viswa Prasad Alluri, Vijayawada – Gopi, MBA utdannet og sønn til vaktmesteren ved barnehjemmet jobber i et internasjonalt firma. Han og fire av hans venner kom ut for en stygg ulykke og han fikk hodeskader. Legene gav opp, men alle kirkemedlemmene bad inderlig for ham mens han lå i koma. Gud helbredet ham. Han er nå frisk og tilbake på jobb. Priset være Herren! Manasa, som går i 10ende klasse hadde betennelse i bukspyttkjertelen. Legene behandlet henne i 9 måneder uten resultater. Familien gav opp håpet om at hun ville overleve. Men de troende gav ikke opp å be for henne gjennom 40 dagers faste i kirken. Gud svarte på vår bønn, Manasa er nå helbredet og frisk. Priset være Herren og Han alene!

Oversvømmelser
Igjen er staten vår Andhra Pradesh rammet av stor ødeleggelse, den verste i vår stats historie. Elven Krishna gikk over sine bredder i forrige måned og etterlot 2 millioner mennesker husløse, avlinger og eiendommer for millioner ødelagt og 263 mennesker døde. I noen dager hadde 2 millioner mennesker verken transport muligheter, strøm, vann eller mat. Det brøt ut kolera på grunn av gjørmen som samlet seg opp i landsbyer og byer.

Det er hjerteskjærende å se folk lide. Vi har distribuert matpakker til 3260 mennesker i Vijayawada og andre landsbyer. Vår hjelp var ikke stor men den hjalp noen. Gud, hjelp oss å møte endetidens utfordringer med kjærlighet, tro, mot og håp.

Maranatha Darsanam,
Vårt tv-program når ut til flere millioner Teluguer i India og andre land. Jeg mottok nylig en e-post fra en ung telugu i Sør Korea som har blitt omvendt. Teluguer i USA, UK, Østerrike, Stillehavs øyene og Andaman øyene blir velsignet av tv-sendingene. Guds folk med overgivelse og trofaste støtte er en ressurs til denne tjenesten.

Kontinuitet i visjonen
Jeg besøkte ikke USA denne høsten på grunn av mine forpliktelser i tjenesten. Men Prasad og Latha, min svigersønn og datter var seks uker i USA mens Ammaji og jeg stod med i arbeidet i Vijayawada. Det var ikke like lett på grunn av vår høye alder men det var virkelig en glede. Gud har brukt Prasad og Latha på en mektig måtte til å hjelpe mange liv. De er virkelig salvet av Den Hellige Ånd.

Silas og Padma i Visakha og Nireekshan og Tabitha i Hyderabad gjør det bra som ledere. Nireekshan og Tabitha har nylig arbeidet i en telugu menighet i Singapore som ledes av en av våre tidligere bibelskolelærere. Jeg er veldig takknemlig til Herren for å ha velsignet vår tjeneste med talentfulle og pålitelige ledere.

Barnebarn
Bhagat Choudary, mitt eldste barnebarn har fullført sin utdannelse innenfor medisin og nylig begynt på turnus. Amit Viswas, den yngste sønnen til Silas og Padma holder på med sitt tredje år på dataingeniørstudiet. Vineela, datter til Prasad og Latha holder også på med sitt tredje år på dataingeniørstudiet. Hun synger også på tv-sendingene våre som blir sett av flere millioner. Suchi, datter til Ratna Kumar og Jyothi i Atlanta, USA, har begynt på høyskolen. Fem andre barnebarn går også på skole. De har tatt imot Jesus i sine liv og elsker Herren. De prater og ber over hvordan de skal fortsette arbeidet og tjenesten i fremtiden. Jeg er takknemlig til Herren for å ha velsignet vår familie med disse barna. Dere er alle en sann inspirasjon for dem.

My Dear Friends and Partners,

Greetings from India!! The weather is cooled off bringing beautiful days and chilly evenings. We are headed for a great season to celebrate by preaching the Birth of The Saviour. The reason for the season – Jesus Christ -- has changed the course of this world as well as our lives. What a privilege to present His Story!!
Children Homes - Pradeep and Sandeep are five year-old twins. Their father was a carpenter who died of liver and kidney problem. Their mother could not feed the boys with meager income she was getting out of being a sweeper in a hospital. She didn’t know what to do and came to know of our Children Home. We took the twins into our Home in Vijayawada. The first meal they had in our Home was a sight to see as they scooped up the rice and curry. They ate the food in a hurry as if they didn’t have any food for days. It touched all of us who saw them. They had cracks in feet as they never had slippers. They are happy now going to school with other kids.

Ramu, a 5 year-old boy, lost his father to witchcraft. The doctors could not find any physical health problem in his father but he deteriorated week by week and died. That is what the demons do. His widowed mother came to know of our Children Home at Vijayawada and approached us with the boy and we took him in. He is a happy little fellow going to school. We gave his mother work to do in our Asram for Widows & Destitute.
Geetika, a 5 year-old girl, lost her mother to Yellow Jaundice and it caused mental disorder in her father. Her old maternal grandmother took her in but could not feed her with meager income and her age. She heard about our Children Home thru one of our pastors and admitted Geetika. The girl is happy with shelter, clothes, and 3 meals a day and going to school. Every thing is provided free. Our God is awesome and trustworthy.

One of our boys emailed me saying that he came without proper clothing when he came to the Children Home. He is now in the USA. The stories behind the boys and girls are heart touching. I cannot tell you how happy I am to see these boys and girls in Maranatha Children Homes making success in life and career. They love the Lord and serve Him with dedication. My words fall short of how much I appreciate you all for your faithful support of this ministry to unfortunate boys and girls.

Economic Situation - We are marching forth to make exploits for God and His Kingdom in spite of financial constrains on the ministry. God is helping us feed and school 350 children in 4 Children Homes, 30 widows & destitute, paying school bills for 110 PKs (Pastors' Kids), helping 140 pastors, feeding & training 180 students in 3 Bible Schools. We have just started Asram ministry in Hyderabad with three people in dire need. We hope to increase that number as God provides in future. This is quite an undertaking but God has been good to us. We see the fruits on every side. Helping the hurting has been my life for 41 years and I feel it is a great privilege. The Challenges continue to present more needs as well as opportunities to minister. The Holy Spirit is encouraging and guiding us to carry on the mission He assigned in the midst of adverse cir*****stances.

You've been an encouragement and blessing to me in all this.

Pastors’ Reports & Healings – We have recently lost a senior pastor-leader and one of our Executive Committee members to the Eternal Home. He contracted Swine Flu after doing burial of a lady who died of it. He has passed away on Sunday the 11th of October.

According to the reports from our pastors from June thru October, 489 people have accepted Jesus, and 131 converts Water Baptized, and 218 received the Holy Spirit Baptism, and 209 open-air meetings conducted. The following are the healings reported.

B. Charan, Narsapur, Medak Dt. - A demon possessed family visited many Hindu temples and offered sacrifices to demons. The family got tired of performing many rituals and finally they came to the church. God in His power delivered them. Glory to God!!

G. Prabhuseva, Guntur - A woman was paralyzed and could not walk. The whole congregation interceded for her and God in His mercy touched and healed her. PTL!!

D. Prema Manohar Babu - A man suffering from renal calculi was taken to a doctor who wanted to do a surgery for their removal. When the Pastor went to that man and prayed, God has miraculously touched and healed him. Hallelujah!!

Y.Yesudas. Bobbili – A couple were married for 10 years but had no children. They went to many doctors but of no use. They tried many gods but in vain. This couple happened to attend a gospel meeting where Pastor. Moses Choudary ministered and prayed for them. God has touched them and she conceived the very next month. Glory!!

M.Yesudas. Huzurabad - A young man was vomiting blood and could not afford to go to the doctors. He desperately came to the church and the Gracious Lord had healed him. He is very much healthy now. Jesus is still in the business of healing the sick. Isn’t He?

Viswa Prasad Alluri, Vijayawada – Gopi, MBA graduate and son of our Children Home warden, is working in a multinational company. He along with four of his friends had a terrible accident, which left him with head injury. The Doctors gave up hope. All the church members sincerely prayed while the young man was in coma. God by His mercy healed and gave him new life. He is now healthy and back in his job. PTL!! Manasa, who is in 10th grade, had Pancreasitis. All her intestines were spoiled with terrible foul smell. The doctors treated her in a hospital for 9 months but no cure. It was a serious problem. Her family gave up hope of her survival. But the believers didn’t give up praying for her through 40 days of fasting in the church. And God has done a great miracle as an answer to our prayers. Now Manasa has recovered and restored to her normal health. Praise be to the Lord and Him alone!!

Recent Floods – River Krishna had flooded last month leaving two million people homeless, billions of Rupees worth of crops, properties lost, and 263 people died in two States. It flooded through Vijayawada city doing damage. We did not have transportation for few days, no power, no water, and no food to millions of people. Cholera broke out due to the mud gathered in the villages and towns. It is heart breaking to see the people suffer. We've distributed food packages to 3,260 people in Vijayawada and other villages. What we did is very little but it helped some.

Once again our state, Andhra Pradesh, is grappled with large-scale loss and destruction. This is the worst deluge in the history of our state. Hundreds of villages have been hit with incessant rains. The fury of the floods has taken a heavy toll on life in five districts, 83 counties, and over 475 villages, which witnessed heart-rending scenes as human and animal corpses piled up for cremation along the riverbanks. 7000 cattle. 54,000 houses have been reported damaged fully or partially, and about two million people have become homeless. The fury of the floods has economically ruined thousands of families.

Oh, God, help us to meet the end-time challenges with love, faith, boldness, and hope.

Maranatha Darsanam, our TV Program, is touching few millions of Telugu people in India and abroad. I have received an email recently from S. Korea where a Telugu young convert is doing her Post Doctoral Fellowship. Telugu people in the USA, UK, Austria, Pacific Islands, and Andaman Islands, are watching MD and being blessed. God's people like you are true assets to this ministry by your commitment and faithful support.

Continuing the Vision / Carrying the Baton - I didn't come back to the US this fall due to my responsibilities in the ministry. However, Prasad & Latha, my son-in-law & daughter, have visited for six weeks in the US while Ammaji & I covered for them at Vijayawada ministry. It wasn't easy to do so as we are not as young as they are, but was real joy to do so. God has been using Prasad & Latha in a mighty way to repair and rebuild many lives. They are truly anointed of the Holy Spirit.

Silas & Padma in Visakha and Nireekshan & Tabitha in Hyderabad are doing well as Directors of Regional Centers. Nireekshan & Tabitha have recently ministered in Singapore in a Telugu Church being led by our former Bible School teacher. I am very grateful to the Lord for blessing our ministry with talented and trustworthy leaders.

My Grandchildren – Bhagat Choudary, my oldest grandson, has completed his classroom work for his Bachelor's Degree in Medicine. He started one-year internship. Then, he'll have to go for 3-year Residency. Amit Viswas, the youngest son of Silas & Padma, is in the 3rd year of Engineering in Computer Science and Vineela, the daughter of Prasad & Latha, is also in the 3rd year of Engineering in Electronics & Computer Science. She sings for our TV Ministry being watched by few millions. Suchi, the daughter of Ratna Kumar & Jyothi in Atlanta, GA, has started her college. Five others are in schools. They have accepted Jesus into their lives and love the Lord. They talk and pray about how they should continue these ministries in future. I am grateful to the Lord for blessing these kids in our family. All of you are a true inspiration to them.

Takk Herren for at sommervarmen er over og det normale været er tilbake. Regntiden skulle ha startet i juni, men det er enda flere områder det ikke har regnet ennå. Bøndene er fortvilet på grunn av regnmangel og prisene på varer og grønnsaker stiger til et nivå uten sidestykke.

Det er ganske urovekkende å se hvordan verden forandrer seg til å bli mer og mer uetisk og umoralsk – alt i toleransens og imøtekommenhetens navn. Høyesterett i India har gitt homofile og lesbiske rett til å inngå ekteskap. Alle disse nyhetene er triste nyheter. Den eneste gode nyheten er at bibelbaserte verdier er gode og at evangeliet om Jesus Kristus fortsetter å forandre og forme liv for evigheten.

Thank the Lord for the normal weather, after the summer heat is gone. The Monsoon was supposed to have started in June but no rains yet in several areas in India. The farmers are hurting due to lack of rains while the prices of groceries and vegetables are hiking at an unprecedented rate. It is also quite disturbing how our world is turning to unethical and immoral values - all in the name of tolerance and accommodation of different life styles. The Supreme Court of India has granted license for gay and lesbian marriages. All these news is sad news. The only good news is that the Bible-based values are eternally good and the Gospel of Jesus Christ continues to change and mend lives for eternity.

Bible School – Silver Jubilee = We have celebrated Silver Jubilee of the Bible School at Vijayawada last month with few hundreds of alumni in attendance. Their stories and testimonies moved all of us as they shared how our Bible School has impacted them and how they are ministering in different areas.

We have reopened three of our Bible Schools last month with 200 students. Some have powerful testimonies with God’s call upon their lives. We are thankful that we could play a little role in shaping and preparing them for the unfinished task. 50 students have graduated this year from our Bible Schools.

Our students from Vijayawada and Visakha Bible Schools went on Gospel Campaigns preaching in several villages. We did not send our students from Hyderabad on Gospel Camps, as the persecution is severe in Hyderabad province. Our bus was damaged and students were harassed every time they went on Gospel Campaign. So, we did not send them this summer.

Recently the fundamentalists have beaten Christians and Pastors in different places in Hyderabad area. I get this news all the time. Persecution never defeated the purpose of God for His Church but served as a vehicle for growth. It gives us an opportunity to glorify our Lord.

Maranatha Children Homes - Fruits
Our Children Home kids are back in schools at Hyderabad, Zaheerabad, Vijayawada, and Visakha, as the schools were reopened in June for another year. 10th grade is the final year of school to them and then they go to Junior College for two years before they go into Degree program. 10the graders made very good marks and several got admission into Polytechnic Colleges. This will help them build career in future. We are thankful to the Lord for blessing them and faithful sponsors like you all for your partnership thru prayers and finances.

Vivek, a Koya Tribal young man, has finished his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science in Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Chennai and got a job in Delhi. IIT is a very highly prestigious Engineering College in India like MIT in Boston, USA. Vinod, another Koya young man, got a Teaching Position in a college in his hometown after finishing his Master's Degree in Pure Physics. They used to tend pigs, which is considered as the most menial work in India, to help their family. Koya Tribe does not have alphabet for their language - only spoken.

Bhanu Chand, a PK (pastor’s kid) is working in Delhi as an Assistant Manager in a company. His father's leg was amputated until knee due to leprosy. God has intervened into his life and healed him. He is pastoring a little village church. We took two of his kids and have sent them to schools and colleges. Satyanarayana, another PK, is doing a software job in Chennai city. Rambabu, another young man that grew up in our Children Home at Vijayawada has been in USA on a Software Project. Sudhakar who got his Master's degree from IIT-Chennai is in Singapore working for a German Company. Chandra Sekhar Reddy is in Mumbai working as software programmer. Deevena, Ragini, and Gowthami, three girls, graduated from Engineering Colleges and doing jobs while Laxmi, another girl, did MA in journalism and working for a 24/7 TV News Channel.

Maranatha Darsanam, TV ministry - We are getting calls from the US, Europe, Andaman Islands, and cities in India like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, and Bengalur and many villages. God is touching many thousands of lives thru Maranatha Darsanam. I am humbled of the fact that I could be a little part in impacting the lives of Telugu-speaking people.

Pastors’ Reports & Healings – According to the reports from our pastors from March to May, 580 people have accepted Jesus and got saved, and 138 converts Water Baptized, and 291 received the Holy Spirit Baptism, and 306 Open air meetings conducted. The following are the healings they reported.

Pastor V. Chandrasekhar – A lady suffering from Thyroid-related disease was healed by the prayers of the Church. The doctors told a young man that the nerves in his eye got damaged severely and ruled out the regaining of vision. The pastor and the congregation prayed earnestly for him and God healed him and restored his vision. Glory to HIS Name !!

Pastor Yesuratnam - A man burdened with heavy debt was suffering with lack of peace and sickness. God helped him to sell a small piece of land he had and pay off the debts. He is now attending the church.

Pastor A. Solomon Raju – A sixty-year-old man suffering from severe pain in head and was advised to undergo surgery. The family did not have enough resources for his surgery and they sought the prayer support of the church at Sigadam. The congregation interceded for this sick man and God in His mercy miraculously healed him. Hallelujah!!

Pastor L. Vijaya Kumar –A woman gave birth to a boy but the boy died. The woman underwent a surgery and later doctors ruled out another pregnancy for her. The church interceded for her and God touched the lady’s womb and blessed them with a beautiful boy.

Pastor Ch. Lakshmi – An Attorney suffering from cancer was healed by the prayers of the church at Hindupur where Pastor. Laxmi is ministering.

Pastor I. Kamalakar –A woman under the influence of witchcraft was delivered by the prayers of the church. Praise God for His miraculous power !!

Pastor Satyamurthy - A lady suffering from the issue of blood was brought to the church for fasting prayer. She vowed to God that if healed, she would follow Him whole-heartedly. God has heard the cries of His Church and healed her. She is now serving the Lord. Hallelujah!!

Pastor M.V. Bhaskar –A man with paralysis was crippled in the mouth and hands and the pastor applied oil and prayed for healing. God touched him miraculously and made him whole. PTL !!

Pastor Sharon Pushpa – A woman attempted suicide and later was assumed to be a murder. Cases were filed with police against 10 people who have gone to see her. One of them was the son of this lady Pastor and the whole congregation decided to fast and pray for 10 days for his innocence to be proved. On the 6th day the boy was released and God was glorified.

Pastor A.V. Anjaneyulu – The pastor has interceded to God for a woman with HIV positive and God in His mercy intervened and healed her. Doctors told her to stop using of drugs. What a God we serve !! HE is alive and active touching lives that come to HIM believing !! HE is faithful to answer the cries of His people on behalf of the hurting !!

Urgent Need – Church Buildings :
Eight churches started the construction of places of worship but stopped due to lack of finances. It takes about $45,000 to finish those church buildings. The finishing cost of each building ranges between $2,000 and 10,000. Your help will be greatly appreciated. Growth does bring challenges and needs. It is better to have growing pains than dying pains. I'll march on to making exploits for God and His Kingdom knowing God is with me in this ministry. I appreciate your prayers.
