Remarks: The parents of Geetika Priya have two children. Geetika has one elder sister. Both her parents work as a laborer on daily wage basis. They used to derive Rs. 100/- (US $ 2.5) each for their work. This meager income is quite insufficient to meet all their basic needs. In 2008 the girl’s mother was attacked by Jaundice and her condition became critical due to change in color of the blood. She died suddenly and the husband got upset due to this quick development. The burden of supporting the two little orphan girls fell on the maternal grandmother. They were burdened to care these girls because of ageing and also critical financial condition. The father was not in a position to care for them due to improper mental condition.

The grandmother came to know of Maranatha Children Home at Vijayawada through a Pastor working in Maranatha Fellowship and approached us to take Geetika into our Home. Seeing the pathetic condition of the child we took her into the orphanage. She is now happy and attending the school along with other kids. She is taught General Knowledge, Mathematics and English. She is learning moral values and life changing principles in this home. She is growing in an environment that is conducive to her physical, mental and spiritual growth. She is thankful to God as well as to sponsors for allowing her to stay in this home. Thank you and God bless you for supporting this orphan girl.
