meet all the basic needs of the family. He has no support from his parents as
he lost the father at a young age. The parents of the woman have five children,
out of which she is the second daughter. The father of this woman worked as a
farm laborer and with great difficulty he arranged for their marriages and he
has nothing left to support the parents of Priyanka. One day Priyanka’s father
developed Pyrexia and got admitted into a Government hospital. During the
course of investigation, he was diagnosed to have both kidneys failed. He was
declared unfit for survival. He was shifted to corporate hospital and this did
not show any improvement. His condition worsened and finally the man succumbed
to the disease.
The family lost the earning hand and the
burden of supporting the lone daughter fell on this widowed mother. She started
to work as a daily laborer to support herself and the only daughter. This did
not go for a longer time as her little income could not help the woman to send
her daughter to school. She sought for an alternate source to keep her daughter
and send to school. She came to know of Maranatha Children Home that supports
poor, needy and orphaned children through a pastor in Maranatha Fellowship and
